To improve learning, decision-makers need access to regular, quality data, evidence of best practice and evaluations to understand what is working and how to adapt and improve.
Our research goal is to map, create and share high quality evidence on foundational learning to key stakeholders in education in Pakistan.
How will we do it?
Mapping Evidence: The PFL Hub is resource for research, data, policies and best practices on foundational learning in Pakistan. We collect and analyse:
Evidence from across Pakistan
Regional evidence, developing an understanding of what works in the South Asia region
International best practice, through partners with organisations such as the Global Coalition on Foundational Learning, and the Global Education Evidence Advisory Panel.
Creating Evidence: The PFL Hub works with research partners to co-create research, encouraging a focus on evidence gaps of key importance to governments such as foundational learning and inclusion, and the links between foundational learning and out-of-school children. We create evidence by:
Supporting the design of research that focuses on foundational learning, encouraging a focus on fixing the educational problems that prevent learning in Pakistan
Working with partners to pilot, test and adapt new research on foundational learning in Pakistan
Commissioning studies that address foundational learning research gaps
Sharing Evidence: We specialise in sharing and presenting evidence well, in formats that make busy decision-makers’ lives easier and enable them to make rapid, informed decisions. To do this we:
Develop communication channels and designs to package research well for decision-makers
Develop core relationships with key decision makers and share research according to their needs
Communicate Pakistan’s data and evidence to a global audience and across Pakistan
